The second FEDOK – Fehérvár Documentary Film Festival opens today, 8 October 2026, in Székesfehérvár. Running until 10 October at Kodolányi János University, the event offers three full days of feature and short documentaries, competition entries, talks, concerts and an exhibition.

The opening day combines a morning screening and filmmaker meeting with an afternoon photography exhibition and the official opening ceremony. Its highlighted film is The Street Pastor, a documentary by Ákos Wéninger, with conversations involving the creators attached to the screenings.

On 9 October the programme features three films and several audience meetings, followed in the evening by a concert from Veronika Harcsa and Bálint Gyémánt. On 10 October the short-film competition screening, results and awards are followed by two feature documentaries and a closing concert by Los Andinos.

FEDOK uses a mixed admission model. Some programmes are free while paid events offer standard adult tickets and discounted tickets for secondary-school students, university students and pensioners. Entrants in the short-film competition receive free access to all programmes, and paid-event tickets can also be ordered online.

For the festival business, the second edition shows how a city documentary event can turn screenings into a full-day cultural package by adding live encounters and music. That creates partnership space for local hotels, restaurants, education providers, mobility services and cultural brands.
