Festival Ljubljana will hold the 10th edition of its Winter Festival from 10 to 15 February 2027. The European Festivals Association detailed the six-night programme on 12 October, while the organiser’s own pages state that presale prices are valid until 5 November 2026.
Film music and 20th-century opera in one series
The first two evenings feature the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra. The opening combines Beethoven, Mussorgsky and Ulvi Cemal Erkin under conductor Alfonso Scarano with cellist Poyraz Baltacıgil. The next night, the orchestra presents film scores including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean.
On 12 February, Vladimir Mogilevsky explores Russian Romantic piano music. A day later, Charles Dutoit conducts a concert performance of Alban Berg’s Wozzeck with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and choirs.
The arc closes with Beethoven
The last two evenings focus on Beethoven. Ensemble Dissonance presents Moonlight under Uroš Lajovic, then the finale pairs Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with Beethoven’s oratorio Christ on the Mount of Olives.
Reader value and business opportunity
The festival’s strength is movement between genres: film music provides a lower threshold, while Wozzeck and the oratorio offer deeper repertoire. Because the programme uses several venues, the exact location and ticket category should be checked for each evening.
The 5 November presale deadline creates a clear campaign point for airlines, hotels, cultural tour operators and gastronomy partners.
Summary
Festival Ljubljana’s 10th Winter Festival runs 10–15 February 2027 across six evenings of symphonic music, film scores, piano, Wozzeck and Beethoven programmes.
