The 37th New Orleans Film Festival opens on 22 October. In-person screenings and industry events run through 27 October at several New Orleans venues, including the Contemporary Arts Center, while the virtual selection remains available through 1 November.
The New Orleans Film Society's official page lists more than 150 films and over 250 participating filmmakers. This is not a single premiere weekend: screenings are complemented by talks, encounters and industry networking.
A path into awards season for shorts
The event is an Academy Award-qualifying festival for documentary, narrative and animated short films. That does not make every selected film automatically eligible or awarded; eligibility depends on the relevant competition section and result.
Virtual availability and territory restrictions may vary by title, so viewers should check the official programme and access terms before buying. FestivalTV does not claim on-site attendance or review screenings that have not yet occurred.
